Quality Care Project for Center Based Child Care Providers

The Department of Human Services (DHS) Quality Care Program is designed to recognize and reward quality in preschools and childcare centers. To help you maintain quality, your program can be eligible to earn incentives of up to $100 per month for each enrolled child who receives a childcare subsidy from DHS. There are three ways to qualify:

  • Maintain accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) or the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA)
  • Meet Professional Development Standards
  • Meet Hawai'i Preschool Content Standards (HPCS) for four-year-olds
