Director/Lead Caregiver & Caregiver

Kalihi Union Church

 

Kalihi Union Church (KUC) is in the process of creating a childcare center to serve students from Farrington High School in July 2007. Their goal is to provide a caring environment to reach out and help teen parents and their infants, which will provide the teen parents the opportunity to graduate from high school. KUC is in the process of obtaining a license from DHS and have submitted a proposal to them for funding through a competitive bid. KUC was awarded the contract on June 15, 2007. KUC is looking for the following full time positions:

1. Director/Lead Caregiver- Provide care of children, supervise staff and maintain administrative requirements. Qualifications: BA in ECE and one year experience preferred or AA in ECE and 24months experience. Good benefits.

2. Caregiver- Provide care of children & maintain records. Qualifications: HS or equivalent plus one year experience & 12 credits ECE or two years experience or no HS and three years experience. Good benefits. Experience must be full time working with children less than 36 months in a licensed child care setting. In addition, have or willing to take 30 hrs of infant /toddler training.
